Working for a living...

Normally, I work 4 days a week for 5 hours each day. During the summer, I only work one day a week in the office and the rest from home. I'm in the office today.

My job is both rewarding and sometimes stressful. I relieve the stress by going outside for a cigarette. Obviously, I need to come up with a new plan. I think I 'm still going to take my smoke breaks, but I'll walk around the office building instead. My smoke breaks are when I clear my head, so a quick walk should do the trick!

Congrats on deciding to quit smoking! Chantix has been working amazingly well for me (with my cooperation), and I'm 47 days smoke free today.

I love that you've decided to blog about your experience because I have been doing the same, and it has been incredibly helpful. There are actually several others blogging about their Chantix experience that I've linked to on my blog, and I would love to add a link to your blog on mine if you'd like.

Walking breaks instead of smoke breaks are exactly what I'm still doing, and it's working!

When is your quit date? I gave myself until Chantix Day 15, but quit on the 13th day (I just wasn't ready on Day 8).

Best of luck to you, and I'll be reading right along with you!

Thanks for your support! My original quit date was Monday, the 6th, which would be day 7 on the pills. I'm really not sure that I'm going to be ready by then, so I'm just taking it day by day!

Feel free to link my blog!

I've added a link to your blog, and I'll do a little mention next time I post. Can I introduce you by some first name? If not, I'll just run with exsmoker mom. I'm Maggie, btw ;)

Lots of people have been able to do the Chantix Day 8 quit date, so you are right to take it day by day and see. I would recommend having a last chance drop dead no matter what ready or not (yes, no commas in between those on purpose) quit date though, too. Mine was Day 15, so I quit "early" by doing it on Day 13 ;)
